Joseph Psychiatry was founded on a simple belief: mental health care should be thorough, thoughtful, and built around you โ not the other way around.
Founder & Medical Director
Dr. Joseph is a board-certified psychiatrist with over seven years of clinical experience spanning hospital psychiatry, outpatient clinics, and private practice, including serving as chief resident at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, one of the highest-volume psychiatric programs in New York. After years in institutional settings, she kept seeing the same problem: patients moving through crowded, impersonal systems where no one had time to learn their story.
That's not care. That's a conveyor belt.
She founded Joseph Psychiatry to do things differently. Here, every patient gets the time they deserve โ thorough evaluations, individualized treatment plans, and a provider who actually listens. Her specialty is working with high-functioning adults who are dealing with ADHD, anxiety, and depression, often for the first time and often after years of being told "you're fine."
As Medical Director, Dr. Joseph designed the practice's clinical protocols and leads its quality standards. She's built a team of nurse practitioners who share her clinical philosophy: be thorough, be thoughtful, and treat every patient like a person, not a chart number.
Funny thing is, she never planned to open a private practice. She expected to spend her career inside hospital systems, until several of her senior mentors pushed her to go out on her own. They told her she had a gift for connecting with patients. They were right, and this practice exists because of that push.
Outside of work, Dr. Joseph is a wife and a mom of two. Her kids are serious animal lovers, so family trips almost always involve a zoo or an aquarium. She loves to cook, often pulling from her Indian heritage, and her family swears by her homemade mango pie. She's active in her church and serves on the board of a nonprofit that brings medical care to underserved communities in the US and Africa.
"I started this practice because I wanted to give patients the kind of care I'd want for myself: someone actually taking the time to understand what's going on, not just treating what's on the surface."

Appointments are available 7 AM to 7 PM on weekdays. Before work, after work, or in between. No rearranging your whole day.
Book online or text us to get started. Once you're a patient, secure patient-portal messaging handles scheduling and prescription issues during office hours (10 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday). Clinical questions are handled in visits.
ADHD is our primary focus โ not an afterthought. We understand the nuances of adult ADHD, including how it overlaps with anxiety and depression.
Every nurse practitioner here practices with a board-certified psychiatrist medical director behind them. That structure is rare in telehealth, and it shows in the care.
